  • Here is an interesting lesson.  It involves using ClarisWorks Paint to create tessellation's. Suzanne Alejandre from Math Forum gives very clear directions for each step. It will work with any paint-program, not just ClarisWorks.
  • Instructions and diagrams for various projects using the beautiful art of origami are available at Joseph Wu's Origami Page.
  • Explore Leonard da Vinci and find the creations of one of the most famous painters of the Italian Renaissance.  Find out not only about his paintings but also about his experiments and inventions.
  • The Refrigerator hosts a weekly art contest for kids 18 and under.  The top 5 contestants' work is posted on this site with the winner's being posted at the top of their Web page for a week.
  • Visit Michael's Kids Club to find a variety of projects (more are available in the Kids Club Newsletter) and images to show the steps toward each project.
  • In the photo essays of the National Gallery of Art's West Building,  you'll view comparative images that demonstrate the many ways, some subtle, some obvious, in which the National Gallery's West Building--and the environment that surrounds it--have changed through the years.
  • A to Z Kid's Stuff contains great recipes for everything from goop to peanut butter playdough.  Their Rainy Day page also has some cool activities for children.
  • Edhound will be a great resource for lists of links on the subject of art.
  • Looney Tunes cartoon school shows how studios make cartoons.  Students will learn how much work actually goes into making a cartoon.
  • Just for Kids Who Love Books is a great site to find a listing of children's books.  It includes information about the author as well as great links for each book you click on.
