Students exhibiting serious behavior problems
that impede their learning or the learning of others can benefit from the
services provided at the LAB/Transition Program. Trained Special
Education Teachers, Mental Health Counselors, Behavior Analysts, and trained
instructional Aides comprise the faculty and staff that work with students
to help them regain control of their behaviors and teach them to interact
appropriately with their peers and teachers.

The teacher/student ratio is low allowing
teachers to work closely with students and impact their behavior in a
positive way.

There is a strong academic piece in place
with continuous communication with regular classroom teacher.

The goal of both programs is to return
students to the regular classroom with their peers and to help them function
appropriately in the community at large.

Like adults, children and adolescents can
have mental health disorders that interfere with the way they think, feel,
and act. mental health influences the ways individuals look at
themselves, their lives, and others in their lives. Like physical
health, mental health is important at every stage of life.
