  • Students exhibiting serious behavior problems that impede their learning or the learning of others can benefit from the services provided at the LAB/Transition Program.  Trained Special Education Teachers, Mental Health Counselors, Behavior Analysts, and trained instructional Aides comprise the faculty and staff that work with students to help them regain control of their behaviors and teach them to interact appropriately with their peers and teachers.

  • The teacher/student ratio is low allowing teachers to work closely with students and impact their behavior in a positive way.

  • There is a strong academic piece in place with continuous communication with regular classroom teacher.

  • The goal of both programs is to return students to the regular classroom with their peers and to help them function appropriately in the community at large.

  • Like adults, children and adolescents can have mental health disorders that interfere with the way they think, feel, and act.  mental health influences the ways individuals look at themselves, their lives, and others in their lives.  Like physical health, mental health is important at every stage of life.
