Rules for Physical Education
We're looking forward to
having your child in P.E. this year. Below you will find a few rules that
we are asking you to follow regarding P.E.
- On days your child has P.E.
in the gym, we ask that your child wear some sort of tennis or basketball
shoes. They need shoes that have good support and traction. When
your child is in the gym, they will be doing activities that require a lot of
running, stopping, and turning quickly. It is imperative that they have
good traction and support so they will not be slipping and falling, possibly
getting hurt. They will not be allowed to participate with sandals,
shoes with no heels, or slick bottom shoes. If they wear these kinds of
shoes to school, just have them bring their tennis/basketball shoes in their
backpacks so they can change at P.E. time.
- Students will listen quietly
while the teacher is speaking.
- Students will follow
directions and safety rules.
- Students will STOP and
listen when the whistle sounds.
- Students will participate in
all activities unless physically unable to do so.
Playground Rules:
- Do not jump off things that
are too high. ( If you are not sure about what to play on, ALWAYS ask the
coaches.)
- Do not run down slides or
jump over slides.
- Do not stand up in the
swings.
- Do not pull or push anyone
who is climbing on the monkey bars.
- Fighting of any kind (real
or pretend) will not be tolerated.
AT ALL TIMES PLEASE ASK YOUR
CHILD TO ACT APPROPRIATELY ON THE WALKWAYS. PLEASE READ OVER THE RULES
WITH YOUR CHILD. WE LOOK FORWARD TO HAVING A GREAT YEAR.
