A
"Little" About Lifeskills (Ms.
Renee's Class)
Lifeskills (Ms.
Renee's) is a class your child comes to once a week for 30 minutes. It
should be on the calendar which day your child comes.
Be sure to always
look at your child's calendar each month to know which character theme we are
learning about.
Our 6 pillars of
character program is school-wide (and countywide) but many of the activities
take place in Lifeskills class.
In Lifeskills not
only do we learn about our 6 pillars of character. We learn about study
skills, test taking, homework, how to get along with others, saying "NO" to peer
pressure, and even deciding what we want to be when we "grow up."
We do lots of
"fun" things while learning in our Lifeskills class. We read lots of good
books, play with puppets, watch cool videos, and use lots of other activities to
reinforce our character traits and other important topics.
Your child would
love to share with you about his/her day. Remember to ask what he/she is
learning at school and in Lifeskills (Ms. Renee's room).
We have lots of
favorite books in Ms. Renee's Room. Ask your child what his/her favorite
is.
Never miss an
opportunity to reinforce Character! Whether it is through a TV. show, a
book, or a behavior (good or bad) remind your child what it means to be
Responsible, Fair, etc.
