Ramer School's Mission
Ramer School's mission is to develop life-long learners and responsible, productive citizens through a quality education.
Endeavoring to make this happen, we, the administration, faculty, and support staff pledge ourselves to helping all students learn, achieve, and succeed in a safe and physically comfortable learning environment. We believe that our school is the ABSOLUTE BEST and will strive to maintain this standard.
Ramer School is located in Ramer, Tennessee. Our town is 90 miles east of Memphis and about ten miles from Corinth, Mississippi. The Civil War site for the Battle of Shiloh is approximately 20 miles from our campus.
Ramer School is in the McNairy County School District and serves grades K-8. We are the smallest school in our county with a school population of 347 students. Most of our eighth graders enroll in McNairy Central High School in Selmer, Tennessee, when they leave our school.
Ramer School 's colors are purple and gold,
and our mascot is the mighty eagle. We have a junior high football team and junior high girls' and boys' basketball teams. We have a band program
for students in grades 6-8.
We are
the proud owners of back-to-back championship trophies earned by the boys' basketball
teams in 1998 and 1999. Our Lady Eagles possess the county champs crown for the
2000, the 2002 season, and the 2003 season. The Lady Eagles were also
fourth in the state TNT in Springfield, a tournament for which our 1998 boys' team
were awarded the runner-up title. Ramer girls also garnered the county junior high track
meet first place trophy in May, 2000, and the girls and boys brought home the overall
trophy. We are proud of our Eagles!
Congratulations to Coach Belinda Shelton and a great group of girls for our new county championship of 2003!
