Access Point (Data Distribution)

Description: An Access Point is a base station in a wireless LAN. Access points are typically stand-alone devices that may plug into an Ethernet hub or server, or may provide a repeater function for wireless networks.

Eligibility: An access point used in a Local Area Network environment is eligible for funding. An access point used in a Wide Area Network environment, e.g., configured for data communication across a public right of way, is not eligible for funding. See the Special Eligibility Condition below for further information.
